my family and I were enjoying a wonderful evening in Culver City. We had just finished shopping at Best Buy and were ready to find somewhere to eat. Since there was a McDonald's half a block a way we decided to eat there. When we first entered the McDonalds, it was reasonably clean and was decorated to honor movies from the 1920's to the present.

As we were eating we were approached by a homeless man. He asked if he could have some fries. My girlfriend was going to give him some fries,
then
he said,
"I don't want them"
she said
"Well why do you ask for fries and not want them?"
he said,
"Can I have hot mustard with them?"
she gave him the mustard and the fries

He sat behind us, while we were still eating and he had then already finished his fries.

He got up approached the table and said something
sounding like "wanting number one and sleeping outside"

I didn't quite understand him, and so I thought he wanted to order a big mac meal, which was the number one.

So I said
"Listen, My family and I are trying to eat, I'm going to give you a dollar and you're going to have to leave us alone.
(I was still under the impression that he wanted to eat more)
However, he took the dollar stepped away for a moment came back and
said
"I'm going to do #2 now."
Now, I understood him, He was grossing us out while we were trying to eat.
I told him to leave us alone.
He left our table.
I talked to the manager and he said, that he had already called the police and they were on their way.
The homeless man was now going to other tables bothering them.
My family was way too grossed out to finish eating.
We were discussing how gross it was.
I was upset.
Everyone was upset.

After the ordeal, we all discussed what happened.
I opined that never in my life had gone into a restaurant and have been harrassed that way not even in East L.A.

Chris said that if that the homeless man wouldn't pull such a stunt in a poorer city because he would get beat up.

My fiance said that it was sad and gross, but that the man had mental problems.

I agreed with them both.

Something needs to be done about our population of homeless people and those with mental problems especially.
<img style="cursor: pointer; The opportunity to become a teacher in Oregon is much more difficult than here in Los Angeles. Here in L.A., there are many programs for library science where she can follow her dreams.

So after almost six months or more of deliberating, we have decided not to leave California soon, and just to move out of Inglewood. The school district here in Inglewood, is not so nice, which is why we want to move to somewhere where they have a better school district, and less crime.

We need to walk outside during the night without feeling as if there will be some type of crime being committed. I am expecting the best to come from our decision to stay here in California.. However, I know that I want to move to Oregon as soon as we both have our careers in full bloom. Most of the time everything runs smoothly. However, I will be writing my gripes in this blog.
Today I will start with Gripe #1.

Gripe #1

If you have caller ID, don't misuse it.

I get many calls per day with someone asking the question "Did somebody call here?" or any variation of "Somebody called me from this number", or "What is this?", "Who am I calling?".

First of all, I'm a receptionist, not a mind-reader. If I were a mind-reader, I would not answer your phone call believe me, I'd let the phone ring to my heart's content.

If you're calling someone just because you received a call from that number, then you should at least think of something better to say than to ask such questions. If the number seems strange, then it's either a miss-dialed call, or the call is not meant for YOU.

However, If you feel that it's really important to call back, then think of something important to say. Here are some examples of important things you can say to ME, when you call.

"I'm George W. What I have to say is not going to be pretty. My gripes about the buses will be listed below.

Gripe #1.
The buses don't run on time.

Either they run too late, or too early. Wednesday morning Rosie and I were five minutes before the scheduled arrival time and the bus was not there. It was scheduled to be there at 6:19. We were there at 6:15. The actual bus did not arrive until 6:45. What's the point of putting up a bus time table if they're not going to be following it?
By the way, I'm usually late to everything, but when I'm early I would at least like to be rewarded by getting all the perks that early people get. Is that too much to ask for?

Gripe #2
Bums.

Bums smell, like urine, sweat, alcohol, feces, dirt. Bums stumble around, talk to themselves loudly, talk to YOU loudly, ask for change, make no sense. I suggest for the MTA buslines to install a decontamination chamber in each bus. That way the bum goes in dirty, comes out clean. I'm sure its as easy to install as their natural gas engine. Believe me, its worth it.

Gripe #3

Graffiti on the bus.

First of all. Taggers do not to have their name written on the seats, poles, windows, walls and i'm sure some of them have tried to write graffiti on a bum. Graffiti is unnecessary, illegible, grammatically idiotic and dirty. No one needs to know that your new name for yourself is; Clevr, zope, zpazo, photoe or any other misspelled or weird name. Your graffiti makes the bus look ugly and it shows how your parents forgot to teach you good manners.

Those were my gripes for riding on the bus. you can share your gripes as well.

plazes.com

I just learned about a new website titled plazes, in this website you can see where your friends are and pinpoint them on the internet. I went to my doctor who is old school. He has ancient medicinal tools, His office is old and stinky but it's sort of like a model of history past and present. When I mean that he's subversive is that he doesn't like the way that some segments of society run. For instance he thinks HMO's overcharge people and are morally suspect. He also thinks too many doctors prescribe ADD pills when none are necessary.

He doesn't like the way our government runs. The list goes on and on. He charges patients a fair price and many people who do not or can not afford health care go to him for service. The subject that he probably is most passionate about is education.

He feels that if everyone should have equal access to it. Sometimes I feel like if I'm going out of my mind, then I realize its a fever. Sometimes when I have a fever I start hallucinating, its not nice. I see and hear things and the walls change shapes. I remember when I was younger I would see spiders on the walls or the cat would talk to me. Now usually I hear people's voices, or I see things like the walls moving. There are a wide variety of explanations for me getting sick. I think all those explanations have a grain of truth. What I do know is that when I was in Fresno for about a year and a half and I did not get sick one penny. However, since I have arrived to the Los Angeles area I've gotten sick no less than four times in less than a six month period. We'll be moving out of my family's home pretty soon, so hopefully one of the factors will be removed from my sickness. Anyway lately I've been thinking of doing many fun things and my imagination has been running wild. Lately all I think about is work and problems but I think maybe that's what's gotten me sick. I think that the human mind is very capable of more things that we allow it. In other words god gave us all a great mind, a awesome heart and a big spirit. We should at least use it. I have a picture of two of them. The first child pictured prominently here is in an altered state while the one behind her and to the left appears to be fearing for her life. I have a feeling that the bright light hurts their eyes after they become infected by the mud creatures.

The mud had rendered these children into a paralytic state in which they stared intently at any adult interloper. I have no ideas where or when they might have been in contact with the mud like organisms but I noticed a strange truck parked outside. The truck was being driven by a bear dog. I'm quite sure that the dog driving the orange truck had brought a mud making device and contaminated all the children before anyone was able to intervene. As no adults were able to apprehend the nefarious dog, I was however fortunate enough to capture a picture of him inside his getaway truck.
If you look closely you might notice that the dog is a crossbreed between a dog and a black panda bear. His teeth are old and yellow, which might mean that he is a chain smoker. I have no doubt that this bear dog is behind all this. If you chance upon an orange truck with a bear dog, I advise you to keep your children away before they too are infected by the mud organisms.

The dead bee mystery

Today I will discuss the dead bee mystery. It appears to me that every day along the walk paths there is a new dead bee laying on the floor (as pictured on the left). Lets say that I'm starting the new day at work and I walk from the main office entrance to the kitchen area for coffee, on my way to the kitchen as I walk through the hallway corridors I scan the ground and find a dead bee. When I first noticed the dead bees I thought nothing of it, perhaps it is the same bee mummified in the open air (I would think to myself).
However one day I decided to pick the dead bee up and throw it away. The next day when walking through the path again, I spot another dead bee. So, I pick this bee and throw it away. Well this has been going on daily and I figure that the bees are coming here and they die. I spoke to one of my coworkers here and she said that not only does she see the same dead bees, but also that a coworker from her department squashes live ones when she spots them on the ground. So now we have two points. One point is that we may have a large bee population. The second point is that they are coming here to die. The question is why? I've done research on bee websites and found that bees have a lifespan of 1-4 months where as the queen bee can live from 2-5 years. Well lets say that one bee dies every one month, if we have 30 dead bees everyday, then we must have a healthy population of bees somewhere around here at my work. I can only guess that they live around this area are coming here to die. But the question is why here? I can only speculate and say that maybe our buildings were created on top of an ancient bee burial ground. However if that were true, wouldn't the bees spirits haunt this place? As of yet I have not heard of any employees mention ghostly apparitions of bees.
However, I can only wonder if it'll be a matter of time before I walk around and hear a buzzing near my ear but not see a thing. What would be even worse is the sting of a ghost bee. Lets suppose that someone here were allergic to bee stings and gets stung by a ghost bee. Would they die? Would they feel the sting? Or maybe their spirit would be stung, and if that were the case wouldn't we need ghost pincers to remove the ghost stinger? The more we think about it, the more mysterious the dead bees seem to be. I will continue to note peculiarities and keep everyone posted on this topic if any new information comes to light as for now, I wish everyone to have a good weekend.

Mini Cooper and a Bad Word

This morning as I was driving in traffic down Jefferson avenue to get to work I saw an awesome classic 1958 Mini Cooper. Because I was driving I didn't have the opportunity to take a better picture of the 58 Mini.

Earlier while on the freeway, there was a green Volvo station wagon with a banana stuck on the luggage rack. It was so funny because it was wedged on there and it wasn't rotting yet. Although I figure when they get to work they will notice it. Unless they're not the type of people who look at their car after they get out after which they'll have to wash a rotten banana off of their car. And if you're wondering if it's dangerous to drive and take pictures of traffic while driving a car I'll tell you that it isn't because, the pictures that I had taken were at traffic stops. People who yak away on their cellphones or women who put make up on their faces while they drive are much more dangerous than anything I know. In other news yesterday while at work I was covering the front office and noticed a little kid about to run out to the parking lot without his mother, I asked him to go back and find his mother. After which he stared at me blankly as if to say, "I have no mother". I then told the little runt that if he didn't go back to where his parent was, that I would get someone to take him. Well I then got a phone call from my chick and I said hey Rose, do you want a free little boy, while still staring back at him letting him know I was serious.

Well after that the little boy started crying his heart out telling me, that I said a bad word and he ran to his mother. His mother then later called to ask if I had told him a bad word, which I really hadn't but for him the words that I had said were bad because essentially I was pretending to auction him off to the caller on the phone. Hopefully the little boy has learned his lesson to stay with his mommy. I've also learned a lesson to not joke around with little kids because they're bound to take anything seriously. That's it for now see yawl later.

The Watchmen and the WashRooms

This weekend I felt as sick as a boiled egg feels the day after Easter. I'm only going to list 7 of them. 1. The door knob to go into not out of a public restroom. 2. A public faucet handle. 3. Your office desk is nastier to eat off of than a toilet seat. 4. The comforter in a hotel/motel. 5. The remote control in a hotel/motel. 6. The microwave handle in a hotel/motel. 7. Avoid using the hand air blower, it is best to use your pants or let your hands drip dry. That's the most uselful information for today.
